Why I Started This: A Brief Introduction Into My Reasoning

I've had this blog opened for quite some time now. Originally it was required for a communications class I was taking at the University of South Florida. I decided that I wanted to try having my own blog and actually using it properly, so I deleted all of my old school related posts, changed it up a bit, and am ready to begin.
Several reasons I decided to do this:
1. I've been laid off from work for 5 months, haven't been able to find a new job yet, and realized that some people can actually make decent money by keeping a good blog.
2. I love writing, and have always dreamed of earning a living one day by writing screen plays, scripts, books, articles, and figured this would provide a great opportunity to get practice and maintain my writing skills. Its hard to sit down and force myself to write.
3. For a 22 year old, I would have to say that my mind works at the level of a 52 year old. I feel much too wise for my age, I'm bright and smart, I can see situations and opinions from every different point of view. This is probably why I love the field of Psychology and chose that as my major course of study in school. Anyways I feel that I have been gifted with the ability to bring up certain (sometimes controversial/debatable) topics and speak out on them, hopefully shedding light on the situation so that others can see and understand why other people have differing views. They say with great power comes great responsibility, thus I feel a strong obligation to run this blog and write about what I feel is necessary.

I feel inclined to mention that much of my inspiration and tips for a successful blog came from Bob Lotich, the creator of Christianpf.com.
